Costa Rica Aguilera Brothers Finca Toño is almost gone...

During the 2019 Costa Rica coffee harvest, Valentine Coffee's lead roaster joined one of our importers on a tour of both the West Valley and the inland Tarrazú regions to sample and evaluate the fresh harvest. Among the many great coffees on offer, those from the Aguilera Brothers Micro Mill in the West Valley were particularly good – and that from the farm of Toño Aguilera was a clear standout.

This is a natural-process coffee, which is a rarity for Costa Rica (most Costa coffee is washed-process). What's more, it is produced from a single varietal called Villa Sarchi, which is native to the Los Robles de Naranjo region of Costa Rica. Our notes:  "Vibrant floral aromas commingle with a pleasing sweetness reminiscent of chocolate-covered blackberries."

Valentine was able to secure two whole bags of green – about 300lbs – of this very special coffee. We are excited to share it with all of you as a special release. Get some while you still can!
